Dell comes through!
You probably remember me ranting on about how my new Dell laptop died a horrible death when I tried to restore it with the disks Dell gave me. I had quite the time wrestling with customer service reps who sent me to Microsoft, who then sent me back to Dell... it was a mess.
But... This cool guy from Dell named Todd read my blog and contacted me through the comments. He actually listened to the problem I was having, and took action. They sent me out a re-imaged harddrive and the proper restore CDs, and all is well and good with my laptop now.
I hate to admit it, but I'm pretty impressed. I think Dell really came through. The laptop works like a charm with the new hard drive! Thanks Todd, you rock!

Small world! That's crazy. Maybe I should have written a scathing letter about my HP trials over the last two years.
At least people who work at Dell seem to have a soul in their off hours. I suspect the people at HP are just zombies they're rounded up in their outsourcing efforts.
Anyhoo - this story makes me happy to have a Dell laptop. Yay.
