What the hell...

... Did I eat before I went to bed. So last night I had this amazing dream. It started completely dark, then I look around and realize I'm on some sort of stage, like the grammy's or something. At the exact moment I notice this... "Son of a Preacher Man" by Dusty Springfield starts playing. It was only then that I realized I had a horrible 50's women's haircut, and a glorious gown... yes... I WAS Dusty Springfield, singing "Son of a Preacher Man" at the grammy's.

LOL To help illustrate the level of wrong, I have decided to post the lyrics to this song here, It's a phenominal song in it's own right, just not something I'd choose to sing to in drag at the grammys... until now. I've always said though, Let go and let god. Sometimes you gotta rock Dusty Springfield in a glorious gown at the grammy's, sometimes that just needs to happen. Fuck the haters.:

Billy-Ray was a preacher's son
And when his daddy would visit he'd come along
When they'd gather 'round and started talkin'
Is when Billy would take me walkin'
A' through the backyard we'd go walkin'
And then he'd look into my eyes
And lord knows to my surprise

The only one who could ever reach me
Was the son of a preacher man
The only boy who could ever teach me
Was the son of a preacher man
Yes he was, yes he was
Oh, yes he was

Being good isn't always easy
No matter how hard I'd try
When he started sweet-talkin' to me
He'd come and tell me everything is all right
He'd kiss and tell me everything is all right
And can we get away again tonight?

The only one who could ever reach me
Was the son of a preacher man
The only boy who could ever teach me
Was the son of a preacher man
Yes he was, yes he was
Oh, yes he was

How well I remember
The look that was in his eyes
Stealin' kisses from me on the sly
Takin' time to make time
Tellin' me that he's all mine
Learnin' from each other's knowing
Lookin' to see how much we been growin'

And the only one who could ever reach me
Was the son of a preacher man
The only boy who could ever teach me
Was the son of a preacher man
Yes he was, yes he was
Oh
The only one who could ever reach me
Was the son of a preacher man
The only boy who could ever teach me
Was the son of a preacher man
