Illness and the finer things...

... make a well-rounded balance.

Wow! I have a blog. I'd almost forgotten. It's been quite a while since I posted here = )

So, today I'm feeling as though I'm dying of the plague, but in general it's been a great month thus far for me. The high sell of a stock grant had me living like a celebrity for a while. I bought a guitar that I've been lusting after for about 5 years, and the best amp Fender makes to go with it. Then I escaped for the weekend off to a Bavarian village in a $200/night suite watching a cast of actors from WA portray german people, make sausages, and dress funny. What could be better?! Oh, and just for MzThai, I got a pixie stick and screamed Oomah und Oompah Live On! In the middle of the downtown area, nobody understood, but I decided to go downtown in my pajamas with blue hair so I didn't figure I was making a clear statement to begin with.

Oh... I know... how about a 6 week trip to Jamaica! Yep, I'm off to Jamaica from mid June to early August. Earlier this year I went to India and it was a life altering experience for me so I was first in line to hop back on a plane and see another part of the world. Albeit, winter would have been a nicer time to go to Jamaica, but you don't see me complaining. If I have to fry in extreme heat, it might as well be some place nice.

Well, that's pretty much what I'm up to at the moment. I also got around to posting more pictures from my trip to India. Here are a few but I'll get them up in some glossy, beautiful, Mac-user style soon enough so you can all see them. For now you'll have to suffer the best Photobucket has to offer.

I have yet to go to JAmaica - it's on my list though! Please let me know what you think of it!

I LOVE the Caribbean.

We recently booked a cruise for Belize, MExico and the Caymans. Starts from Miami. Unfortunately - they didn't have that itinerary for this year so I have to wait 18 f#$%$ months.

Anyhoo - I highly recommend a frequently flyer number if you don't have one - and maybe an alaskaair visa.

Between my miles for past trips and the bonus miles on the card I may not pay any airfare to get to miami next year. For either of us.

Not to mention the alaska air card gives you a $50 companion fare ticket EVERY year.

Not bad if you're going to travel!

PS How are Oomah and Oopah these days - I haven't seen them in ages.
