Reviving my Blog
I thought I would revive this blog as I sort of miss the long-form blog format that I've somewhat ditched for the new breed of social networking sites.
My last post is from March of 2009. Wow, it's amazing what can change in less than a year.
In my last post I wrote about the podcast that Valari and I had started. We committed to it for much, much longer than I expected. Valari has, sadly, since relocated to Costa Rica. iJon joined the blog and we reformatted it to be more tech ramble and relaunched it as the iGeeks. It's a pretty sweet gig. You should check it out. I've also traveled to some new places. I went to Costa Rica once more, then off to Ireland & the UK. Ireland was beautiful. I visited Cork and Dublin. The Dublin Spire was pretty huge! London was definitely one of the coolest cities I've ever been to in my life. Just a fascinating melting pot of historical and current culture and relevance.
Tomorrow I head to West Virginia. It will be my second time traveling for work within the States but my first time leaving my own state. It's kinda odd but I'm not exactly sure how to travel within my own country LOL. I had to look up the rules on the TSA site to see if anything is different. Sadly, it's not. Luckily, I'll be familiar with the local currency and roadways so I should be able to find a Wal-Mart or Best Buy and purchase anything I need.
I'm really thinking of taking a side-trip to Washington DC. I really want to go to the nation's capital. I feel really a bit embarrassed that I've seen all of these amazing monuments and governmental buildings across the world and I've never really seen the ones i'm supposed to be involved with!
I bought a new iPhone 3GS, gotta love iPhones. There's nothing out there quite as amazing as an iPhone and this thing has 32GB of memory! I'm still waiting for them to dump a real huge hard drive into iPhones so I can replace my iPod Classic, but hey, you take what you can get.
The iPad was released. I definitely want one of them but I just don't know if I want to spend a whole lot of money on it until at least the second revision. This one lacks a few things like an SD Card slot, camera, etc.
Well that's about it. Hopefully I'll be posting here a bit more often.
